1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar browser storage are small pieces of data saved on your device. We group them into essential cookies, which the site needs to work, and optional cookies, which we only use with your permission.
2. Essential (always active)
- bsae_cookie_consent_v1 (Business Setup AE, browser storage, 180 days): remembers your cookie choice, its date and policy version.
- Saved and compared packages (Business Setup AE, browser storage): keeps your shortlist while you browse.
- sidebar_state (Business Setup AE, cookie, 7 days): remembers whether a side menu is open, where shown.
- Sign-in session (Business Setup AE, browser storage, until sign-out): used only for provider and admin accounts.
3. Analytics (optional, off by default)
We also keep anonymous counts of package views, comparisons and quote requests on our own servers so the marketplace and provider reporting work. These do not set optional cookies.
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (Google): _ga and _ga_* cookies, up to 2 years. They measure visits and page use. These load only after you allow Analytics or Advertising.
4. Advertising (optional, off by default)
If you allow Advertising, Google may use cookies to measure whether our ads led to visits or enquiries. We use Google Consent Mode, so Google is told your choice and optional Google tags stay off until you allow them.
5. Preferences (optional, off by default)
We do not currently set any optional preference cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
6. Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use Cookie Settings in the website footer at any time to accept, reject or customise optional cookies. Rejecting removes the Google Analytics cookies we can reach on this domain. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings. We ask again after 180 days or when this policy changes.
Rejecting optional cookies does not affect comparing packages, requesting quotes or downloading guides.
